Flow Awards Scholarship

PRESS RELEASE: Castries, Saint Lucia, November 29rd, 2017 – Flow has added another proud scholar to its roll of students who have been supported through the years under the Flow Scholarship programme.
The latest recipient is an alumnus of the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School, and he is taking his talents to the Division of Technical Education & Management Studies at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, where he is pursuing a Certificate Programme in Electrical Installation.
Zane Suffren, whose father is a long-time Flow colleague, Malcom Suffren, has been awarded a two-year scholarship based on his performance in his secondary school final exams, as well as his father’s work performance. The scholarship gives him $2,500.00 each year.
Over the past 23 years, Flow has awarded scholarships worth more than $500,000.00, benefitting over 100 students at secondary and tertiary level. Presently, 23 secondary students hold Flow Scholarships, one of the company’s many initiatives to provide greater support for its staff.
Selection for the Flow Scholarship is based on the results of school-leaving examinations and the continued academic performance of the students over the course of their time at secondary school, combined with the job performance of their parents.
First established in 1995, the Flow Scholarship is a seven-year commitment to the recipients, inclusive of five years at secondary school and two years at Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, whether or not their parents remain with the company.
