Homicide at Barre Denis
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an eighteen (18) year old resident of Barre Denis, namely, Jamal Frederick.
Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department received a report reference to a stabbing at Barre Denis, about 10:40 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017.
Initial investigations revealed that Jamal Frederick received a single stab wound to the stomach as a result of an altercation with a known male. He was conveyed to the Victoria Hospital via ambulance and pronounced dead on arrival by a medical practitioner.
A post mortem examination is scheduled for Monday 13 March 2017. One person is in custody assisting the police with investigations in this matter.
This is the nineteenth homicide for the year 2017.
