On Saturday, 18th November 2017, club delegates from Castries Central convened at the
headquarters of the Saint Lucia National Youth Council (SLNYC) in the William Peter
Boulevard Castries, to elect a new executive for the Branch’s Youth Council. The election
commenced at 7:00pm with a presentation of candidates, who were all given the opportunity to
campaign in an effort to sell their ideas to the assembly. The evening’s proceedings were chaired
by Jeshurun Andrew, President of the SLNYC and the Returning Officer, Wilton Jeremie,
Program Director at the Saint Lucia Youth Business Trust. The process was also assisted by
other members of the National Executive.
The new executive is as follows:

President: Kezia St. Brice
First vice President: Cornelius George
Second vice President: Latoya Charles
General Secretary: Rochelle Wilson
Assistant General Secretary: Beyonce Compton
Treasurer: Bianca St. Ange
Assistant Treasurer: Jemique Alcindor
Public Relations Officer: Darell Nichols-Fleming
Assistant Public Relations Officer: Michael Anthony
Floor Representative 1: Lashawn Denys

Post the election process, the full assembly engaged in the setting of a mandate, which the
executive will give priority for the next two (2) years. Committees were also formed, in order to
actively incorporate the other members of the general assembly, moving forward. As we
progress into 2018, the executive of the Saint Lucia National Youth Council anticipate
exceptional performance from this council like as with others, as we unite and strive to serve the
youth of our nation.
