Another Successful Weekend of Matches in the Castries LUCELEC BOSL Youth League

Action continued in the Castries LUCELEC BOSL Youth League with a full slate of matches on the weekend. The U11s kicked off the second round of matches as Flow Lancers FC took on VSADC Pinehill U11. The VSADC Pinehill U11 featured the prolific goal scoring duo of Jahnard Modeste and Armani Lesmond however, they were stymied by a determined Flow Lancers FC team which run out winners by a comfortable margin of three goals to nil thanks to efforts from Krishone Amedee, Nathaniel Semple and Mc.quain Byron.

In the U13 division VSADC Pinehill Sharks played FC Pioneers. A brace on either side of half time by Ronaldo Serieux and a lone strike from Ethan Leon secured the three points for the VSADC Pinehill U11 Sharks.

The first match of the U15 division featured VSADC Pinehill U15 versus Flow Lancers FC. Flow Lancers FC took the lead via a goal from Dante Fitz in the 15th minute, however, national U14 striker Keegan Caul equalized for VSADC Pinehill U15 in the 33rd minute. Left winger Cagini Pilgrim then made it three goals in two matches to put VSADC Pinehill ahead in the 56th minute. Flow Lancers FC responded two minutes later courtesy of Kalum Marius but the predatory instincts of the diminutive striker Messiah Pinel allowed VSADC Pinehill U15 to secure the points as Pinel recorded a six-minute brace following calm finishing in the 56th and 62nd minutes.

In the other U15 match FC Pioneers thoroughly dominated Valley Soccer Club with national U14 selectees Shaquan Nelson and Ajani Nelson getting on the score sheet. They were supported by solo efforts from Marlon Nurse and Diandre Poyotte as FC Pioneers recorded a four goals to nil victory.

The weekend action concluded with the U17. The first match was an extremely exciting draw between Flow Lancers FC and FC Pioneers. Both teams played attacking football which created space for counter attacks. Although the strikers on both teams were guilty of goal area profligacy a 2 – 2 result was a fitting ending to the match.

In the final match of the weekend VSADC Lucozade U17 took on Valley Soccer Club. Valley Soccer Club was able to record a comfortable two goals to nil victory despite their main attacking player Rio Longville playing the role of goal keeper. Composed efforts on either side of the half time interval were enough to secure the points for Valley Soccer Club. VSADC Lucozade U17 will look back regretfully on this defeat as Anthony Modeste, Rijkaard Glasgow and national U17 selectee Benerero Wellington all spurned relatively simple goal scoring opportunities.

The third round of matches continue on the weekend at the SAB playing facility on Saturday from 9:30 am. Parents, football lovers and the general public are all invited to support the young footballers.
