Mabouya valley U18 tournament
Given the inclement weather conditions on Saturday night that forced the postponement of the 2018 MVFL Promotional League finals, the finals will now be played on Thursday night August 23rd 2018. The finals is being contested between defending champions Rovers Utd and Monarch Sports.
In terms of the GK Ec Global/Mabouya valley U18 tournament; the opening ceremony took place on Saturday with a match pass followed by remarks from the League’s President Mr. Kendel Emmanuel, GK Ec Global Insurance representative Mr. Roger Hare and District Representative Hon. Shawn Edwards, all expressing appreciation of this partnership which is now in it’s 10th year and also provided the young players with encouragement. This was followed by the opening game between the defending champions Togetherness youth and Chesters, however after 19 minutes with score still 0-0 heavy rains forced the abandonment of the game.
With more favorable conditions on sunday Aux-Lyons Utd defeated R.Y.O 3-1, while on Monday Rovers Utd also defeated their opponent Survivals FC 3-1. On Tuesday defending champions Togetherness youth will take on Aux-Lyons Utd at 4pm at La Ressource playing field.
