Saint Lucia National Youth Council Hosts Training Workshop for Youth Ambassadors

The Saint Lucia National Youth Council hosted the first in a series of training Workshops on Saturday February 10th for the newly established SLNYC Youth Ambassadors Network. The training was aimed at building capacity within these Young Ambassadors in a number of areas. The Ambassadors are now tasked with the mandate of empowering other young persons within their circles and communities. Dr Ernest Hilaire, who was one of the presenters, challenged the Ambassadors to strive to be among the best in the world.

The SLNYC Youth Ambassadors Network was launched in December 2017, with a primary objective of helping to culture and develop leadership in outstanding youth, and providing them with opportunities to serve as representatives of their communities and country.

The Saint Lucia National Youth Council would like to express gratitude to Dr. Ernest Hilaire (Founding President of the National Students Council), Alex Holder (Public Relations Manager- Sandals Resorts International), Charde Desir (Former Dean- Caricom Youth Ambassadors) and Ajani A. Lebourne (2nd Vice President, SLNYC) for facilitating sessions during the workshop.

The next workshop in the series will be held in Vieux Fort in March.
