STLHA Champions Cup
The action in the STLHA Champions Cup continued on Monday night at the Marigot and La Clery Playing Field respectively. Lucelec defeated Anse Chastnet Hotel 3 – 2.Lucius Prospere opened the scoring for LUCELEC in the 16th minute. However, Lance Andrew equalized in the 29th minute for Anse Chastanet.On the brink of half time Ned Etan put the hotel further in the lead.Following the resumption, LUCELEC came out blazing and quickly took the initiative, first with the equalizer by Sherlock Anthony in the 75th minute and the go ahead goal by Chad St. Claire in the 81st minute.
The La Clery Field witnessed a double header. In the first of the match ups Sandals Grande defeated WASCO 2 – 1.WASCO drew first blood in the 68th minute with a goal by Lambert Nelson. Tev Lawence equalized for the Hotel in the 76th minute. Everton Regis put the issue beyond a doubt with the winner in the 78th minute via a penalty.In the second game Body Holiday defeated St. James Morgan Bay 2 – 0 with their goals being scored by Alvin William and Irwin Butcher in the 44th and 58th minute respectively.
Matches continue later today Wednesday August 15th at the Marigot Playing Field with Royal by Rex going up against Flow at 4.00 pm.
