Touring United are Champions of Hon. Ezechiel Joseph T20 Competition

Touring United was crowned champions of the Honourable Ezechiel Joseph T20 Competition on Sunday April 29, 2018 at the Des Barras Playing Field.A superb 44 off 12 balls and 3 for 34 from four overs by Craig Emmanuel powered Touring United to a comfortable 45 runs victory over Babonneau U-19 in the final of Honourable Ezechiel Joseph T20 Competition.

Touring United batting first after losing the toss scored an imposing 278 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. The main contributions with the bat for Touring United came from
Jason Simon ( 75 of 20 balls with 7 sixes and 4 fours)
Dane Edward (69 of 26 balls with 9 sixes and 2 fours)
Craig Emmanuel(44 of 12 balls with 4 sixes and 4 fours)
 
For Babonneau U – 19, Tyler Sookwa bagged 3 for 31 from his four overs to lead the bowling.
 
The U-19 team started briskly with their run chase reaching 50 inside four overs. However, Craig Emmanuel with key wickets of Vidal Crandon, Jonell Eugene and Tyler Sookwa helped Touring defend their total and secure victory by 45 runs. At the end Babonneau U-19 scored an impressive 233 for 8  Thanks mainly to: 
 
Jonell Eugene( 61 off 26 balls with 6 sixes and 4 fours)
Quaint Henry (45 off 24 balls with 1 six and 7 boundaries)
Vidal Crandon (42 off 13 balls with 4 sixes and 4 fours)
 
Prizes presented at the end of the competition were:
 
Most runs – Kimani Melius 307 in three matches inclusive of two centuries 192 and 103.
 
Most wickets – Shervon Joseph with 11 wickets
 
Third Place Trophy – Cacao and Des Barras
