Trinidad and Tobago Shaken by 4.2 Magnitude Earthquake

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Monday September 10, 2018 – Trinidad and Tobago was rattled by a 4.2 magnitude earthquake late last night.

The Seismic Research centre (SRC) of the St. Augustine campus of the University of the West indies (UWI), said the quake occurred around 11:34 p.m., about 22 kilometres northwest of San Fernando, 24 kilometres south of Port of Spain, and 36 kilometres southwest of Arima.

It struck at a depth of 40 km.

However, there were no reports of any damage or injury.
