Violence Erupts: Shooting Incident Shakes Savannes Bay, Vieux Fort

Emergency personnel at the Vieux Fire Station with the assistance from officers of the Hewanorra Crash Fire Hall responded to a call in Savannes Bay, Vieux Fort on Sunday August 27. The call relating to an alleged shooting incident was received at approximately 9:15 p.m. Two wounded individuals were identified as the victims of the incident. The patients each sustained several penetrating wounds to various parts of their bodies. They were both transported to a medical facility where they were pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
