Windies Under 15s Head To UK For Six Match Tour
For the fourth straight year, a West Indies Under 15 squad will go on a two week tour of the UK. This is an on going exchange between Cricket West Indies and the England Barmy Army’s Colts.This year the West Indies team has attracted support from Virgin Atlantic.The squad will face six teams in a series of fifty overs matches including the Colts. The squad was assembled following the championship held in March this year.The team will play a 20 / 20 Warm Up match against the London Schools Cricket Association on Friday August 10th before starting the official schedule on Sunday August 12th 2018.
The match tour schedule is as follows
Sunday August 12th – Windies Under 15 vs. Hertfordshire.
Monday August 13th – Windies Under 15 vs. Hampshire
Tuesday August 14th – Windies Under 15 vs. South West England
Thursday August 15th – vs. Ireland Under 15s
Friday August 16th – vs. Barmy Colts
Sunday August 17th vs. London and East Region
The team will be managed by Dr. Oba Gilston who will also doubled up as physiotherapist. Also accompanying are Richard Clarke – Head Coach, and Steve Liburd – Assistant Coach. The squad is expected to return to the region on August 20th 2018.
