Eagle Freight and Brokerage Adventist Premiere League T20 Tournament

On Sunday 7th April two more exciting matches took place in the Eagle Freight and Brokerage Adventist Premiere League T 20 Tournament.The first encounter which was played at the Ciceron Playing Field resulted in Ciceron defeating Vanard by 6 runs.After being sent in Ciceron rattled up 147 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs with Jelanie St. Rose top scoring with 29 runs. He received good support from both Shervon Jean and Tarick Edward with 21 runs each.Bowling for Varnard, Kernon Gustave grabbed 5 for 30. There was one wicket each to Kent Leo, Delon John and Cleophas Edward.Vanard was in striking distance in their reply but faltered as they reached 140 for 8 in their 20 overs.They were led by Kernon Gustave 46, Cleophas Edward 20 not out and Hilary Emmanuel 19.The main wicket takers for Ciceron were Swelan Auguste 2 for 22, Petrus Aurillien 1 for 11 and Father Vincent 1 for 16.Jelanie St. Rose was named Man of the Match.

The second match was played between Caribbean Stars and North Eastern Youth.Upon winning the toss North Eastern Youth decided to bat and managed 122 for 8 in their 20 overs. Shelvin Montfort top scored with 34 runs. There were other useful contributions from Wendell Inglis 24 and Oliver  Sexius 19.The wickets were shared amongst  North Eastern Youth bowlers, with Jervon Charles being impressive with 3 for 8, and Stephen Gabriel 3 for 20 from their respective four overs.Chasing 123 for victory North Eastern Youth reached 108 for the lost of only 3 wickets in their allotted overs.Their main contributors were Dhanraj Cepal with 46 runs and Kyle Constantine 28.Hillarian Smith, Gilbert Daniel and Wendell Inglis picked up one wicket each thus giving Caribbean Stars victory by 14 runs.Wendell Inglis was adjudged Man of the Match.
