By SLUDTERA
(PRESS RELEASE) – The National EWC Fast Track Program is Open to Winners of Local & Regional Business Plan and Pitch Competitions July 22, 2022 – SLUDTERA would like to announce that its National Entrepreneurship World Cup Fast Track Access Program is open once again to winners of local and regional business plan and pitch competitions that have occurred in the year 2022.
The announcement came from National Entrepreneurship World Cup St. Lucia Director Mrs. Michelle N. Samuel of SLUDTERA. “We have so much talent, at every level and in every industry and I want to ensure that everyone in St. Lucia, gets an opportunity to represent our island country at the regional finals.
There has been an explosion of business plan competitions and pitch competitions in our region from last year to this year and I am extending an invitation to the winners of those competitions to apply to EWC via our EWC St. Lucia Fast Track Access program.” “There are perks at all stages of EWC. Just for completing the application alone, persons will receive US$25,000 worth of perks that they can use for their business!” said Mrs. Samuel. “Last year, the Fast Track Program recipients were the top 5 winners of the 2021 National Idea Pitch Competition which was hosted by BOOST Saint Lucia. 3 Sixty emerged as our National winner and People’s Choice Champion!”
Watch the closing ceremony on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RblFKXzZNA8 and listen from 50:57. The local and regional winners who apply to EWC with a completed application, and are accepted into the EWC St. Lucia Fast Track Access program will be automatically advanced to the Semi-finals of the National competition. Only 5 winners will be selected as Fast Track recipients. The others who are not selected will have to compete in the Semi-finals along with the EWC St. Lucia Top 10. They will then compete for the top 5 spots in the National Finals. What makes the program unique is that the 5 selected Fast Track Program recipients do not have to compete against the EWC St. Lucia Top 10 in the Semi-finals. They will pitch to the judges like everyone else, (as they would be hearing their pitch for the first time). This will give the judges and the audience an opportunity to evaluate the Fast Track Program recipients. They will then move on to the National Finals which is the question and answer portion of the competition. They will be joined by the EWC St. Lucia Top 5. The finalists with the highest scores from the judges will place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and the audience will select their People’s Choice Champion.
The Entrepreneurship World Cup is a program that empowers entrepreneurs at all levels – from the idea stage through scale-up – helping them reach the next stage in their journey. It combines a massive pitch competition with access to a global platform with virtual training resources, targeted mentoring, valuable perks, potential investment, and a shot at life-changing prizes. It has been branded as the BIGGEST pitch competition in the world! Entrepreneurship World Cup St. Lucia is the National leg of EWC.
After making it to the National Finals, the winner will then move on to participate in the Regional Competition, EWC Caribbean in September. Whether or not our National winner wins the regional competition, if he/she is selected as one of the 2022 EWC Top 100, our winner will then travel all expenses paid, to compete at the Global Finals in Saudi Arabia!
