Former Speaker of the House passes

The Office of the Parliament of Saint Lucia, has been advised of the passing of former House of Assembly Speaker, Mr. Donald Alcee, who served from August 1981 to June 1982.

Speaker Alcee presided over the House of Assembly at a particularly difficult time in our political history and we are indeed thankful for his service. As a mark of respect for his service, House Speaker, Hon. Claudius J. Francis, has instructed that the flag at the Parliament be flown at half-staff.
