Sir Micheal Chastanet defeats cancer

Yesterday was a significant day for me as it marked the end of my daily radiation therapy after a gruelling ten week course of treatment for prostate cancer. I have asked my son Allen to post this message on his page as I have had so many calls and messages over the past few months that I wanted to let everyone who has been kind enough to send good wishes my way know that the treatment was successful and I am now cancer free.

It has not been an easy road with months of medical tests and procedures but I am so grateful that it’s all over now. I also feel very blessed that I have had my family by my side especially my son Allen and his family who left their home and their lives for all this time and stayed with me through it all. My doctors advise that I am 100% but that I will have to perhaps take things a bit slower and reduce the scope of my day-to-day work responsibilities.

Those who know me know that this will be a challenge for me but we do what we must in life and sometimes we just have to roll with the punches.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and kind wishes. It has meant a great deal to me.
