Junior Minister of Tourism attends CTO Youth Congress

The Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information announces the departure of Saint Lucia’s Junior Minister of Tourism (Jassie Thomas), accompanied by Chaperone (Senior Tourism Officer-Ms. Deepa Girdari), on Friday 9th September, 2022 for Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands), where she will represent the island at the CTO Youth Congress.

Ms. Thomas will compete against ten (10) Junior Ministers and Commissioners of Tourism around the region in a two (2) round competition. The Junior Minister will deliver a speech centered around the topic “Community Based Tourism”.

The Ministry of Tourism extends best wishes to Ms. Thomas and acknowledges the invaluable contribution of the Community Tourism Agency and the Folk Research Centre, towards the Junior Minister’s preparation ahead of the Youth Congress, which will be held on Thursday 15th September, 2022 at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
