Update on Laborie and Faux-a-Chaud shooting

A possible shooting incident was responded to Faux-a-Chaud in Castries, Saturday 22 October at approximately 12:50 p.m.

The responding officers found a child in her mid-teens, on the scene with police officers present. A rapid assessment of the victim revealed that she sustained a penetrating wound to her head, and she was void of all vital signs. Due to obvious signs of death, the scene was left in the care of members of the police force.

Officers at the Hewanorra Crash Fire Hall, on Saturday October 22, at approximately 8:56 p.m., responded to a call at La Croix in Laborie, relating to an alleged shooting incident.

The officers found a male individual on the scene, appearing in his thirties, with a penetrating wound to one of his legs and injuries to one of his hands. He was transferred to the ambulance where his wounds were treated, and he was provided rapid emergency transportation to the St Jude Hospital for further care.
