High Commissioner of India to Saint Lucia visited the site of construction of a hospitality and catering block of CARE Limited

High Commissioner (HC) of India to Saint Lucia Dr.Shankar Balachandran recently visited the site of construction of a hospitality and catering block of CARE Limited being executed under an Indian grant.

The foundation for the building was laid by Hon Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Philip J Pierre in July of 2022.

Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Department of Education, Innovation, and Vocational Training Mr.Kendall Khodra, Executive Director C.A.R.E. Limited Dr Karleen Mason, Planning Officer in the Department of Education, Innovation, and Vocational Training Ms Tracy Dolcy and Clerk of Works Mr.Kimson William received the HC and briefed him on the status of the construction. They promised to complete the project by May 2023 and at the same time, bringing to the attention the cost escalation due to various factors seeking the HC’s support.
