Reading Month Activity: QCEC Group & Individual Workshops

By SLUDTERA

During the month of May, we at SLUDTERA will be recognizing #ReadingMonth2023 with a series of QCEC Workshops for groups, and for individuals. These workshops serve the purpose of preparing students to participate and submit entries to the 2023 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, under the theme “A Youth-Powered Commonwealth”.

The group workshops must be booked by principals, and will take place at the schools, in groups of no less than 30 students, whereas the individual workshops must be booked by parents for their children, and will take place virtually in gatherings of no more than 10 children.

Principals and parents are invited to celebrate #ReadingMonth by registering their schools or children to participate. Please see the attached fliers for details, and circulate with your network.

The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition is the world’s oldest essay competition. It asks entrants to explore the power young people hold within the global community and consider how this power can be harnessed to make a meaningful impact in the world. The deadline to submit entries to the competition is June 30th, 2023.
