Works have commenced on the replacement of a failed culvert on Belmar Lane (Morne Fortune)

The Department of Infrastructure, Ports, and Transport wishes to inform the general and motoring public, especially residents of Morne Fortune that works have commenced on the replacement of a failed culvert on Belmar Lane (Morne Fortune). The scope of works includes replacement of the culvert and road repairs.

A pedestrian footpath is currently under construction to facilitate pedestrian traffic during the execution of the project. Major excavation works are scheduled to commence on Thursday June 15^th, 2023. As a result, vehicular access beyond that point will be prohibited.

Motorists wishing to access Belmar Lane are urged to utilise the following alternative routes: Lucille Lorde Drive, Blue Heron Drive and Frank Johnson Avenue (near Liberty Park). The estimated date of completion is on or before Friday June 30^th, 2023
