International PAHO Consultant and Ministry of Health to review the Syndromic Surveillance Report

International PAHO Consultant Dr. Gladzdin Jean Denis will be engaging the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs from the 28th of August to the 1st of September, 2023, in a review of the Syndromic Surveillance Report- its automation and online publication.

Saint Lucia is one of the member states to regularly publish a Weekly Syndromic Surveillance Report which informs of disease trends locally. However, whilst this report is disseminated internally, access to the general public remains a challenge. Dr. Jean Denis will review the weekly report with the aim of making it more accessible, through the use of a tool that simplifies this process.

Whilst in Saint Lucia, Dr. Jean Denis will visit several units of the Ministry of Health which are critical data sources for the generation of the Syndromic Surveillance Report.
