Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers which may be locally heavy, gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms, over the northern half of the Lesser Antilles. Elsewhere, partly cloudy to cloudy, with scattered light to moderate showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Moisture and instability ahead of a strong westward moving tropical wave, will cause cloudiness, scattered showers, gusty winds and thunderstorms over portions of our region from this morning.
At 5:00 am today, the disturbance was centered near latitude 14.4 North, longitude 52.5 West or about 495 miles or 797 kilometers east-northeast of Saint Lucia. The system is moving toward the west near 25 mph or 41 km/h and this motion is expected to continue with some decrease in forward speed during the next couple of days. On the forecast track, the disturbance is expected to move across portions of the Leeward Islands on Tuesday and approach the U.S. and British Virgin Islands Tuesday night. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph or 45 km/h, with higher gusts.
Tropical Storm Watches have been issued for the Islands from Guadeloupe northward to portions of the British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
Regardless of development, adverse weather conditions will begin affecting the northern portion of the region from late today into tomorrow. Interests in the region should closely monitor the progress of this system. Additional watches could be required later this morning.
Another tropical wave located over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 9 mph or 15 km/h.
