Monchy to host traditional games festival

The Monchy Kwéyòl Committee announces its inaugural event, ‘Fèsten Jwé Twadisyonnèl’ , this Sunday, October 6, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Monchy Playing Field. The activity will feature a number of traditional games, such as topi (spinning top), mab (marbles), kous kabouwé, wawi, soté kòd (chinese skip), ring games, rounders, and many others.

Patrons can learn to play the various games, as well as engage in friendly challenges, fun competitions, and look forward to a huge lucky dip.

Admission is FREE for all. Traditional eats and drinks will be on sale. Carry your kabouwé, bring the kids, and come enjoy an afternoon of games in Monchy!
