21 individuals inclusive of a French National were apprehended for the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Controlled Drugs and Possession with intent to Supply

On Sunday 16 April, 2023 about 5:00 a.m. Officers attached to the Central and Northern Divisions of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and The Regional Security System (RSS)Team conducted operations in the communities of Bois D’Inde, Marigot, Jacmel and Entrepot.

The purpose of this operation was to conduct searches at various locations after an increase in incidents of gun violence.

During the conduct of that operation, three (3) Illegal Firearms, Ammunition and Controlled Drugs were recovered. A total of ten (10) Search Warrants were executed and a total of twenty-one (21) individuals inclusive of a French National were apprehended for the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Controlled Drugs and Possession with intent to Supply.
