335 vehicles were stopped, 150 traffic tickets issued, and five (5) vehicles impounded

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the Department of Road Safety and Traffic Investigations conducted a series of traffic checks along the island's west, east, and south coasts.

The first traffic check took place in Anse la Raye, with assistance from officers of the Anse la Raye Police Station. A total of seventy-two (72) vehicles were stopped, and two (2) individuals were searched.

The team then moved to the Vieux Fort Highway near Beanfield, where they were joined by officers of the Vieux Fort Police Station (Patrol Unit). A total of 175 vehicles were stopped, two (2) vehicles were searched, and two (2) vehicles were impounded.

Subsequently, checks were performed at Dennery Highway near the Dennery Police Station, where thirty-three (33) vehicles were stopped. Additional checks were conducted at Richfond Highway near the Grande Ravine intersection, resulting in fifty-five (55) vehicles being stopped, with three (3) vehicles impounded.

A total of three hundred and thirty-five (335) vehicles were stopped, one hundred and fifty (150) traffic tickets issued, and five (5) vehicles impounded.
