Anse Ger homicide victim identified

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is investigating a homicide that occurred at Ville-Paix in the community of Anse Ger, Micoud on Friday, August 25, 2023. On Friday August 25, 2023, about 4:54pm, the Micoud Police Station received and responded to a report of a shooting at Ville-Paix, Anse Ger, Micoud. Upon arrival, the Officers found the body of a male individual lying on the side of a concrete road, with apparent wounds. The officers also discovered a number of spent shells at the scene of the shooting. Investigations revealed that at the time of the shooting, the victim was the driver of a silver Nissan motor vehicle, which was discovered at the scene by first responders.
Personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service who responded to the incident were present and attended to the victim. The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene by a medical practitioner. The victim has been identified as twenty-three (23)-year-old, Arnell Dante St. Rose, of Grace, Vieux-Fort. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time and no suspects have been arrested.
