Arenato Soumere alias toetoe charged for the murder of Loraine Savery of Vieux Fort

A report of a shooting was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station, about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Loraine Savery was then transported to the St. Jude Hospital via ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds to her body. She later was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

On Wednesday March, 22, 2023 officers of the Major Crime Unit, arrested twenty-two (22) year old Arenato Soumere alias toetoe of Martin Luther King Street, Vieux Fort. He was formally charged for the offence of Murder of Loraine Savery.
