Authorities Launch Investigation into Fatal Shooting Incident in Balata

On Sunday, January 21, 2024, about 7:23 p.m., the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries received a report of a fatal shooting, which occurred at Balata, Castries. The victim was conveyed to the Owen King European Union [OKEU] Hospital via private means having sustained apparent gunshot injuries to his torso. He succumbed to his injuries and a medical practitioner confirmed his death. The victim has been identified as twenty-nine-year-old (29)
