Belle Vue Human Resource Development Centre Hosts Engaging Summer Camp for Vieux Fort North Students

The Belle Vue Human Resource Development Centre in Vieux Fort North is hosting 25 students from the community presently on summer vacation. The students have been engaged in several developmental programs organized by Youth Officer Angella O’Brien who is attached to the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports.
According to O’Brien, the camp has been an excellent one and the level of participation by the students is very encouraging. Soca artist Ninja Dan made a presentation on Self Awareness and Conflict Resolution. The students have been involved in various sporting activities, arts, and crafts, including face painting, and a session on Taking ownership of their Learning.

“The students need that information, and that information will help them in the years to come. We know of the social issues on the outside. The students need that kind of life skills, so they can understand how to deal with life situations, ” he said.
The camp ends on Friday, August 23. All items made by the students will be on display. They will also show off their talent in dancing, singing, and poetry.
