Call for applications

On the occasion of International Women’s day, the Saint Lucia National Commission for UNESCO is pleased to announce the official launch of the call for applications to the 2024 edition of the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education.

The ‘UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education’ rewards the outstanding efforts of individuals, institutions, organizations or other entities engaged in activities promoting girls’ and women’s education. The Prize will reward, in particular, activities that are innovative and/or have far reaching sustainable impact.

The prize, created by the UNESCO Executive Board in 2015 and supported by the People’s Republic of China, will be awarded to two (2) laureates in 2024, each of whom will receive US$50,000. Information on the nomination process and selection criteria can be obtained on the prize website at https://www.unesco.org/en/prizes/girls-womens-education .

Applications should be submitted to the Saint Lucia National Commission for UNESCO via email [email protected]. The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, 17th May 2024.
