Castries Mayor announced plans to revamp the City Police
Castries Mayor, Peterson Francis, has announced plans to revamp the City Police.
“I cannot take criminals who do not have the law on their side doing anything that they want. People who have the law on their side cannot do what they want,” he told reporters Monday.
Without going into detail, Francis disclosed that some major changes will be coming to the capital, which he hopes will be replicated in other parts of Saint Lucia.
“Right now, we have to use the law and use it properly. Crime is everybody’s business,” Francis declared, while asking rhetorically whether it was the sole responsibility of the government.
He also asked whether the crime problem has only “just” surfaced.
