CDF welcomes newly appointed Board of Directors

Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Saint Lucia’s Minister for Creative Industries and Culture, has appointed a new Board of Directors to oversee the Cultural Development Foundation (CDF). The Board, which convened on September 6, 2022, comprises persons with extensive knowledge and expertise in marketing, business management, communications, training and product development and community development.
Chairing the CDF Board is Mr. Darwin Guard - Branding and Communication Design Strategist. “It’s an exciting time to be part of the Cultural Development Foundation; an equally exciting time for the arts, culture and all creatives. We need to possess a more assertive personality defined by our cultural assets– its people– its art,” remarked Mr. Guard, newly appointed Chairman of the Cultural Development Foundation.
Board Members are:
Deputy Chairperson - Mr. Bernard Fanis
Directors - Mr. Imran Emmanuel, Ms. Louise Vité, Mr. Ronald “Boo” Hinkson, Mrs. Barbara Jacobs Small, Ms. Gloria Severin, and Ms. Finola Jennings Clark.
The Board of Directors will work closely with the management team and staff to provide the necessary support and guidance to drive the policy of the Cultural Development Foundation.
Established in 2002, the Foundation is responsible for aligning the aspirations of cultural and creative individuals, groups, communities, policymakers, and civil society through implementing the National Cultural Policy of Saint Lucia.
