Prime Minister Alan Chastanet told reporters today, "I don't have the legal authority to postpone elections, so everybody can expect that we will have elections within the legal period that is granted to us under the constitution. My understanding is that we have legally until July to call elections and that there is provisions for a three-month extension passed that."
Chastanet continue to say "But I would also say that I don’t know of a government that has gone into the three-month period but that certainly, legally, is an opportunity... that is something we have not explored at this point."
