Choiseul King Fishers into final of Eugene Premier League
Choiseul kingfishers powered their way into the finals of the Eugene premier league (EPL) under 16 category on July 7th at the Gros-islet playing field. A magnificent 93 from Jim Peter and a superb run chase was the highlight of the semifinals of the EPL. Parrots won the toss and elected to bat first posted a challenging 155 all out off 20 overs . Mckenny Clarke 63 ,Jaden Elibox 24,Caleb Thomas 13 and Captain Zayee Antione 12 were the main contributor to the total.
Sky Laffieulee 5 for 19 including a hat trick the first of the tournament, 1 wicket apiece to Kevin Gassie, Stephane Theophine and Bernard Calixte were the contributers with the ball. Choiseul kingfishers batted aggressively being 81 without loss at one stage. Jim Peter stoked a brilliant 93, 7 short of a century the highest individual score of the EPL so far… Two wickets were taken by Captain Zayee Antione as the Choiseul kingfishers won by 3 wickets with 2 balls to spare.Choiseul kingfishers will now play Amari Venner’s sparrows in the finals on Wednesday night at 6:30pm.
