Covid-19: slight decrease in figures in Martinique with 348 new cases since November 8, 2020

348 patients with covid-19 have been recorded since November 8, 2020. A slight decrease compared to the figures observed the previous week. 71 people are hospitalized and 13 are in intensive care.
The latest report showed 489 new patients with covid-19 for the weekly period from November 2 to 8, 2020.
73,085 people have been tested since mid-May 2020.
A slowdown in the epidemic is recorded in all age groups and the highest incidence is still recorded among 15-44 year olds. This epidemiological context justifies keeping the Martinique territory at a high level of vulnerability ".
School management
25 municipalities are concerned.
150 establishments including:
- 26 nursery schools
- 50 primary / elementary schools
- 38
secondary schools - 33 high schools
- 1 management school
- 2 administrations
428 cases have been confirmed in schools since the start of the epidemic, including 106 adults and 322 children.
1,847 high-risk contacts are identified, including 202 adults and 1,647 children (figures currently being consolidated, specifies the ARS).
Prevention rules
Prevention: physical distancing (respect at least one meter between people, greet without shaking hands or kissing), hygiene measures (washing hands regularly, coughing in one's elbow), limiting gatherings, wearing a mask and regular ventilation of closed places. Isolation in case of symptoms and carrying out a test as soon as possible.
