The Ministry of Health cautions Saint Lucians not to become complacent as it relates to adhering to physical distancing and infection prevention and control measures. Saint Lucians are asked to avoid participating in large social gatherings, to remain vigilant and continue taking the necessary precautions. By doing so, we can all play a significant part in protecting the lives of our families, friends and the most vulnerable population.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness reminds the public that we anticipate new cases and therefore we must comply with the guidelines established in order to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. The support of every citizen is required in maintaining the recommended infection prevention and control and physical distancing measures.
We encourage everyone to continue sanitizing their hands by either hand washing or the use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, wearing a mask while undertaking daily activities out of the home and maintain the required 6 foot distance. Also, be sure to cover mouth and nose with disposable tissues or clothing when coughing and sneezing.
