Desruisseaux Football League Cup / SLFA Promotional League Cup
Two matches were played on Sunday 12th August 2018 in the Desruisseaux Football League Cup / SLFA Promotional League Cup.At 2.00 pm Small Axe got the better of Lion Heart defeating them 3 – 1.Lion Heart was first on the score sheet with a goal from Tristan Jones in the 29th minute. This lead was quickly shortlived as Gervanie Phillip equalized for Small Axe in the 38th minute as the half ended 1 – 1.At the resumption Small axe increased their lead with a goal from Jessie James in the 47th minute. Nicky Octave sealed the issue with the final goal in the 90th minute.
Defending champions El Ninos sounded an early warning to their opponents as they thrashed Blanchard United 5 – 0.Jamal Joseph opened the scoring with a brilliant goal in the 29th minute as the half ended 1 – 0.At the resumption the onslaught began first with a goal by Gerlannie Neptune in the 60yh minute. These were followed by goals by Clay Celise 75th minute, Ectus David 77th minute and Kury Charles in the 87th minute.
Matches continue on Tuesday 14th august with Green Monsters taking on La Couville FC at 4.00pm at the Desruisseaux Playing Field.
