Elderly Farmer Hospitalized After Fer-de-Lance Snake Bite

An elderly farmer is recovering in the hospital after being bitten by a fer-de-lance snake on Tuesday morning while working on his farm.

According to reports, the farmer, said to be in his 70s, was conducting a routine check on his farm when he encountered the fer-de-lance snake. Reacting quickly, he severed the snake into three pieces. However, while attempting to discard the remains, he was bitten on the hand.

The farmer was immediately transported to the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.

Hospital officials have not yet released details on the extent of the farmer's injuries, but it is confirmed that he is receiving appropriate medical care.
