Emancipation day celebration in Dennery

Emancipation day celebration in Dennery on 31st July 2022, People were gathered together to celebrate the freedom of our ancestors.

The emancipation celebration took place on the Dennery beach where they had a mini ceremony. As persons made their way to the beach the solo group lead the crowd in songs. A few persons were interviewed on their thoughts about this event. One of the few stated that" it is great because he have been talking about it from 1970 and after 52 years people start to realize the importance of what he have been talking about". Guests from Jamaica, Bahamas and other countries were welcomed by the prime minister.
