Extension of closure of the Union Complex office

The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport wishes to inform the public that temporary closure of our Union Complex Office has been extended through to Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, to facilitate the continuation of deep cleaning and remedial works.

Business operations will resume on Monday, Oct. 9. The public is reminded that the following arrangements continue in order to facilitate access to critical services:

TECHNICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT:

ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT

• All clerical services, payments, submission and collection of electrical inspection certificates will be at the Public Service Training Institute (formerly Spinners), Union.

TRANSPORT

Licensing and Motor Vehicle transactions can be done at the Public Service Training Institute EXCEPT collection of driver’s license, photos, and printing. • Licensing and Motor Vehicle transactions can also be done at the Vieux Fort Sub Office.
Visit the SBA Office on Bourbon Street, Castries or one of the ICT Centres in Micoud, Vieux Fort, or Soufriere for DigiGov related transactions.
Practical driving examinations continue as normal.
All theory exams are suspended.

We continue to encourage customers however, to utilise the digiGov platform (www.digigov.govt.lc) for driver and vehicle related transactions where possible to avoid delay and to contact 311 should you experience any difficulty with the platform.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS:

• Delivery and collection of general correspondence will be at the Materials Testing Laboratory. Telephone number: 468-4300.
