Ezechiel Joseph Lighting Ceremony & Football Tournament Off the Ground!

The Fond Assau Playing Field came alive on Saturday evening, as the 2019 Ezechiel Joseph Football Tournament got on the way. Proceedings commenced with a march-past of teams from the primary school through the community and onto the field.

In his remarks, Parliamentary Representative for Babonneau Honorable Ezechiel Joseph thanked the residence for their patience and announced that for the first time in years, two tournaments will be held in the sport of football in the community. 

Mr. Joseph went on to thank curator Kent Crafton for a job well done and announced that just under four hundred thousand dollars was spent on the project.

On hand for the official lighting of the facility was President of the St. Lucia Olympic Committee Mrs. Fortuna Bellrose. At approximately 6:30 pm, the lights were officially turned on with members of the executive of the Babonneau Football League present.
