Fake News - the circulation of two photographs over social media claiming to be the suspects in the recent murder of Nurse Kezia Wilson

Inspector Shervon Matthieu warned about fake news and the circulation of two photographs over social media claiming to be the suspects in the recent murder of Nurse Kezia Wilson.
The Inspector said, “Fake information, information without credibility on events surrounding an ongoing investigation by the police, is detrimental not only to the investigation but also to the victim of the crime and their families by extension.”
He continues to say it was also detrimental to the individual whose photograph is being circulated.
Matthieu said “This is also detrimental to the mental wellness of the victim’s family and persons featured in the social media post. Persons have to be cognizant of the fact that they should not disseminate information that is not credible about any individual or entity without verifying whether that information is true or not. We are more damaging certain aspects of the investigations when we do these things.”
Nurse Kezia Wilson was shot and killed in her car in Goodlands on 22nd November 2022 and nobody have been arrested.
