"Father Albert” to Officiate at New York City Independence Celebration Service

As part of its activities celebrating Saint Lucia’s forty-fourth anniversary of independence, the New York City-based Saint Lucia House Foundation announced today that Father Albert Smith will officiate at its annual Independence church service.

This year’s service, organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York, is scheduled for Sunday, February 19, 2020, starting at 8:30 AM, and will be held at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 2530 Church Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11226.

Mr. Mathias Wilkie, President of the Saint Lucia House Foundations said, “The organization is truly excited to welcome Father Albert Smith Joseph, affectionately known as ‘Father Albert,’ to New York City to celebrate this year’s independence service.”

All Saint Lucians and friends of Saint Lucia in the tri-state area are welcome to attend. Following will be a reception and the Independence Marketplace, both of which will be held at the Saint Lucia House.
