Fifth form students outraged after cxc Mathematics paper got leaked

Many students around in the Caribbean are expressing their disappointment after the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) Mathematics 2023 Paper 2 got leaked the evening before the examination.

The reports alleged that the leak in the CSEC paper started in Guyana which led to it being in the possession of many students all over the Caribbean. The students are appealing to the CXC to look into the matter and have something done as they said the situation is unfair.

The students have also been using the ‘Students Hub’ on Instagram to have their voices heard. There have been many situations before where the CSEC paper has been leaked before the examination and nothing has been done which is why the Class of 2023 students of the different Secondary Schools are asking the public for help to put a stop to the biased actions which the Council have been taking towards them.

A parent also said, “ I don't know about you but that doesn't sound too fair to me. Surely if the leak was seen by many , it would mean that most students throughout the Caribbean islands would have likely surely passed but what of the ones who disregarded the leak or knew absolutely nothing about it? This means that the passing grade for math would only go higher since they were able to do better than the ones who didn't see the information.”

CXC should resolve this issue right away. It is unsure how they will respond to the students’ demands, but the displeasure from parents, students and teachers from all over should not be overlooked.
