Fire at the Bel Jou Hotel in La Pansee

On Saturday November 5 at approximately 12:30 p.m., emergency personnel at the Fire Service Headquarters with assistance from the Babonneau Fire Station, responded to a call at the Bel Jou Hotel in La Pansee relating to a structural fire on the property.
The fire suppression team found engulfed in flames one room on the fifth floor of one of the hotel’s buildings and smoke emanating from the roof of the adjoining rooms.
Using nearby hydrants, the fire, which left the contents of one room and the ceiling of the other rooms destroyed, was fully extinguished. Although the damage was extensive, no persons reported injured as it relates to this incident.
