Fire raging at Jamaican Courthouse

Reports reaching Loop News is that earlier on Thursday morning, persons passing the Mandeville Courthouse in Manchester saw smoke coming from the building and raised an alarm.

Teams of police officers and firefighters responded and are currently at the scene where the fire personnel are battling to bring the blaze under control.

Police sources said the blaze has so far damaged the upper section of the stand-alone building and has been threatening to spread, but the fireteam has seemingly managed to bring it under some level of control.
