Firearm Recovered after off duty Police after gave chase, as the male attempted to evade and in doing so, he disposed the weapon

On Sunday, January 8, 2023 about 7:00 p.m. an off duty police officer had cause to approach a suspicious male in Sunny Acres, Castries.

The officer gave chase, as the male attempted to evade, and in doing so, disposed of a Glock 27 pistol, with a magazine containing nine (9) rounds of live ammunition. The officer secured the weapon and contacted the Criminal Investigations Department for assistance.
