Former Dennery North MP sentenced to 6 months in prison

Marcus Nicolas, the former UWP Dennery North MP and opposition leader, sentenced to 6 months in prison effective 12th April 2022.
The former MP was charged in 2017 for uttering or using false documents for tax purposes. He was arrested after he attempted to get a tax return on his girlfriend name.
Marcus says he took full responsibility and he is sorry for putting the court and the country in this position.
