Four individuals assisting with investigations into the death of Eustace Roland of Martin Luther Street, Vieux Fort

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of sixty-six (66) year old, Eustace Roland of Martin Luther Street, Vieux Fort.

A report of a shooting was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station, about 6:55 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

Eustace Roland was transported to the St. Jude Hospital via ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. He was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

There are presently four individuals assisting with investigations.

Postmortem examinations are scheduled for subsequent dates.
