Gros Islet shooting update - Two men shot and one dead

At about 10:10 p.m. on Monday April 24, firefighters from the Gros Islet Fire Station with the assistance of personnel from the Fire Service Headquarters responded to an incident in the Gros Islet Village. The emergency personnel were informed of an alleged shooting incident involving two persons.

One of the individuals who were involved in the incident was found on the ground with penetrating wounds to their body. The patient was transferred to the ambulance where emergency medical treatment was given.  He was subsequently transported to the OKEU Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other individual who walked to the ambulance complaining of having an injury to his leg was assessed and treated and transported to the OKEU Hospital in a stable condition.
